Google puts cheese on the burger in Android 8.1

Google will soon release Android 8.1. The latest version of the operating system for smartphones contains an important improvement: the cheese is no longer under the burger, the yellow slice is now in the right place, on top of the warm hunk of meat.

The erroneous use of cheese was denounced on Twitter at the end of October. Google CEO Sunder Pichai promised in a comment immediately stop all other activities and address the problem.

We are now a month further, but Pichai has kept his word, because Emojipedia reports that in the developer preview of Android 8.1 the cheese slice has moved up a floor. How long Google’s developers and graphic designers worked on the change is unknown.

It is also not clear whether Google immediately recognized that the cheese was placed incorrectly on the burger. This is evident from a tweet that after the controversy, Google itself served an Android burger in its restaurant. Perhaps the search giant first tried to see how the old cheese situation was appreciated by burger lovers.

Android 8.1 brings more improvements in the field of treats. Anyone who makes a digital toast will from now on do so with a well-filled glass. In addition, the holes of the cheese holes have been improved.
