Google points to better dual SIM support in Pixel 4 smartphone
Google seems to be improving dualsim support in its upcoming Pixel smartphone. A comment on the Android Open Source Project points out that the device will have two SIM card slots that can be active at the same time.
The plans have not yet been announced by Google. XDA Developers discovered that a developer from Google, through committed commits in the Android Open Source Project, has indicated that improvements for dualsim are coming. Code is included that can be used to detect whether the hardware has support for working with two SIM cards at the same time.
According to the comments, parts of the new code are needed to differentiate between the current version of the Pixel smartphone, which has a physical SIM card slot and an e-SIM but cannot use them at the same time, and the Pixel smartphone that will be released this year. should come and, as it now appears, does have full dualsim support.
The Pixel 4 will probably be released sometime in the fall. It is expected that Google will first come with Lite versions of its Pixel 3 smartphone. They will probably come out in the spring.
