In its teardown, iFixit shows that the 5.5″ OLED screen with a resolution of 2280×1080 pixels in the Pixel 3 is made by LG Display. The repair website states that LG has worked hard to improve the quality of its OLED screens for smartphones, but don’t judge the quality.
Last year, the Pixel 2 XL had an OLED screen from LG and some users had complaints about the screen. The panel would burn in quickly and Google responded with measures, including lowering the maximum brightness to save the pixels of the screen.
In the small Pixel 2, Google used an OLED screen from Samsung last year. This year, it turned out that the Pixel 3 XL had a Samsung AMOLED screen. As far as we know, there are no complaints from users about the screens about the Pixel 3 devices.
