Google has temporarily halted the update of its Duo app to version 30 after a bug came to light that caused users to experience low volume when making calls using the app. Android users have been reverted to version 29.2.

Google’s head of Duo development, Justin Uberti, reports it temporary strike of the update’s distribution, noting that users experiencing low volume with the Android version of Duo v30 can fall back to v29.2. Google is now providing that update. Duo is Google’s video calling app.

The app received an update to version 29 two weeks ago, which added visual voicemail, among other things. The update to version 30 on iOS and Android should include group conversations and screen sharing. In addition, users can link their Google account so that others can reach them with Duo via the email address, according to 9to5Google’s parsing of the apk.
