Google no longer sells Android Wear watches through its site

Google no longer has Android Wear watches for sale in its own web store. The most recent models became available eight months ago, but are now set to ‘no longer available’. Google never sold watches directly in the Benelux.

The Google Store lacks a tab for Android Wear watches. The pages are therefore no longer accessible from the homepage, but are still online. However, the watches are no longer for sale. If the stock is temporarily out of stock, it will say ‘out of stock’, so this message indicates that Google will no longer offer the watches for sale, claims Android Police.

The search giant announced the LG Watch Sport and Watch Style in February, along with the release of Android Wear 2.0. Google still supports the watches. A beta of the next version of Wear was recently released.

Electronics manufacturers have recently released few new watches with Android Wear. Despite this, many new models will appear this fall. Instead, fashion brands such as Hugo Boss and Diesel are diving into the smartwatch.
