Google Music now lets users upload 50,000 songs for free
Google has increased the limit on the number of songs users can upload to Google Music for free to 50,000. Until now, users were able to upload 20,000 songs to Google’s music streaming service.
Google increased the storage limit from 20,000 to 50,000 on Wednesday, the company said. Users can upload the music from Google Music’s web interface and listen to the music from that same web interface and Google Music’s iOS and Android apps.
Users can always upload the music, even if they do not subscribe to Google’s music streaming service. In addition to the upload option, Google Music offers a subscription of 10 euros per month with which users can listen to unlimited music, similar to Spotify, for example. Music from the paid service and uploaded music can also be listened to and combined in playlists.
