Google makes web app Canvas for drawing drawings available
Google has made the canvas drawing tool available. It is a web drawing app that comes standard on some Chromebooks and offers automatic synchronization with Google accounts.
Chrome Canvas has appeared in the app drawer of some Chromebooks, Chrome Unboxed reports. These are some laptops that run Chrome OS in the dev channel, according to the site. Canvas can also simply be accessed via the url canvas.apps.chrome. The drawing tool offers some simple functions, such as being able to select a pen, pencil, chalk or eraser and optionally choosing a color.
Drawings are saved online and can only be exported as PNG. There is also an option to upload images to draw on. Google is releasing the drawing tool as more Chromebooks come with a stylus, including Google’s own Pixel Slate. With the release of Chrome OS 70 at the end of October, the operating system has been optimized for tablets.
