Google is testing saving YouTube frames directly via Chrome
Google is testing a feature for the Chrome browser that will allow YouTube frames to be saved directly to a PC. The company previously released a way to copy frames from YouTube videos, after which the images had to be saved in a roundabout way.
So far, this feature is only available in the Chrome Canary 120 test version, as user X notes Leopeva64 on. Testers can double-click on a YouTube video with the right mouse button, after which the option ‘save frame as’ will appear in the Chrome menu. The Windows explorer then opens and the image can be saved on the PC as usual. The source says that the resolution of the saved image is determined by the playback quality of the YouTube video in question. It’s not clear when Google will release the feature for the release version of Chrome.
Four months ago, Google added an option to “COPY video frame” in YouTube’s pop-up menu (the one that appears when you double right click on the video), well, Google has now added an option to SAVE the video frame:https://t.co/iVJlZtbrn3
