Google has been experiencing an outage since about 9:30 am this morning. Initially, Google services did not work for many users, but now the services seem to work quite well for some users.

On, among others, the website All Disruptions, users indicate that they are bothered by the malfunction, where the reports started at 09:29. Google’s search page, YouTube and Google services such as Maps and Mail, among others, do not work or work slowly for some users.

Due to the outage, websites that show Google ads may also load slower or may not show ads. In addition, users may not be able to log in to third-party services with their Google account. On GoT, among others, some users indicate that the malfunction is over, while others are still suffering from it. It seems that the services work fine on IPv6, but not on IPv4.

Google hasn’t said much about the outage yet. On the Google Workspace status page, a few services have a service outage flag, including Gmail. In addition, the company says it is investigating the reported problem and that more information will follow as soon as possible.

Update, 12:36 PM: Google says it is now carrying out mitigation work, but does not know when the problems will be fully resolved. Services should now be more usable for users. The issue, which Google isn’t detailing yet, lies with multiple Google Cloud components, such as the App Engine, Bigtable, Monitoring UI, Console, Spanner, Functions, Run, Endpoints, and SQL. The problem that caused Gmail to be unreachable for some users has now been solved, Google reports on another page.

Update 2, 3:05 PM: The Google Cloud problem has now also been solved, says Google.
