Google is adding monitors to the Works with Chromebook program
Google will now also include displays in its Works with Chromebook program. Manufacturers who have passed the company’s certification may display a Works with Chromebook badge on monitors.
According to 9to5Google, the first monitor to be awarded the Works With Chromebook certification is the HP M27fd monitor. This is a 27 “screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Officially monitors are not yet on Google’s list of products that have passed such certification, but now Google seems to have started to label displays on its own.
Google announced the Works with Chromebook badge early last year. Products can receive the label if they meet the ‘Chromebook compatibility standard’ and the label should then give consumers the assurance that accessories will work with their Chromebook.
Chargers, cables, mice, keyboards, controllers, webcams, headsets, drawing tablets and docking stations, among others, are part of the Works with Chromebook program.
