Google has released a new beta version of its Chrome browser that includes a new bookmark manager. This gives users a more comprehensive way of managing bookmarks. The software was previously available via an app.

The new bookmarking software appeared in the most recent version of the Chrome browser in the beta channel, Google says on its blog. The innovations should make it easier to search for bookmarks, among other things, because searches are now also made within the bookmarked page. Furthermore, bookmarks can be automatically organized by subject and can be automatically adjusted when the relevant web page is refreshed. When creating a bookmark, the user can select an image or add a note.

The functionality was previously available as a separate app for the Chrome browser. It can still be downloaded from the Chrome Web Store. Google’s bookmarking software is coming to all Chrome users shortly. According to the internet giant, the new features will be rolled out in phases in the coming weeks.
