Google has added new search filters to Drive

Spread the love

Google started rolling out an update on Tuesday, which provides Drive with new search filters. The feature will be available to all Workspace users, including G Suite Basic and Business users

The feature was first available as a beta. With the so-called ‘search chips’, users can filter search results by location, file type and date of modification, among other things.

The search chips appear after entering a keyword in the search bar. You will then be presented with six different menus: Location, File Type, People, Last Modified, Title Only, and To Do. If you make a selection from these menus, the search results will be filtered. For example, if you click Location, you can filter the results by Anywhere in Drive, My Drive, Shared with me, Starred, and In Trash.
