Google is said to be planning to give its Calendar application for Android a completely revamped interface. The calendar software is currently being tested internally, but may be rolled out to users soon.

So says Geek.com, who managed to get their hands on an internal build of the new Calendar application. The software, test versions of which are called Timely by Google, has a ‘minimalist’ interface with lots of white. In addition, Google seems to have added new features: for example, it is possible to receive the corresponding agenda for the coming day in presentation form via e-mail.

In addition, the new calendar app can pick information from the user’s contact list, so that birthdays, among other things, automatically appear in the calendar. Furthermore, there is a special menu that allows users to see all upcoming birthdays.

It is still unclear when Google plans to release the alleged new Calendar app. However, according to Geek.com, the software would feel like a finished product. It is therefore likely that Google wants to roll out the new app soon. The Calendar is an app that comes with every Google certified Android device.
