Google has added the ability to start and follow interest groups to its social networking service Google+. These so-called Communities must develop into permanent gathering places around certain subjects.

The Communties option is visible in the toolbar on the left side of the Google+ environment. Users can join existing Communities that are often based on certain themes. For example, there are groups for photography and Star Wars. It is also possible for Google+ users to open their own Community, which may or may not be visible to the general public.

With the introduction of Communities, Google wants to do it its own way say make it easier to have conversations with other Google+ users around a certain theme. In addition, each Community group has a permanent place within Google+ so that it would be easy to find.

In addition to Communities, Google has also announced Snapseed for the Android platform. Snapseed is an application for taking photos that can be added with effects afterwards. The Snapseed software is made by Nik Software company. The company was acquired by Google in September. The Android version is now free available on Google Play. Snapseed has been too long to download on the App Store.
