Google announces games for smart displays
Google comes with some games for smart displays. This includes, for example, trivia games and puzzle games. Later this year, Google will release more games for smart screens. The first games should be available from now on.
In total, Google will release seven games for smart displays this week. For example, the company comes with trivia games based on TV shows such as Jeopardy and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? Google also mentions some word and puzzle games, and a variant of an escape room game. The games are played via speech or the integrated touchscreen of a smart display, among other things. Google will release more games for smart displays during 2020, the company reports.
During the I / O 2019 presentation, Google already showed the Interactive Canvas tools, which developers can use to create simple games for smart displays. Earlier this year, the company also introduced a Continuous Match mode for the Google Assistant, 9to5Google writes. This keeps a device’s microphone on while an action is being executed, so users can talk to the device continuously. The Google Assistant will notify you when this happens.
