Google adds reminder function to Calendar web version

Google is adding the ability to post reminders in Google Calendar to the desktop version of the app. About four months ago, the company added the to-do feature to the Android and iOS versions of Calendar.

Unlike calendar events, reminders remain from the time they are due to appear according to the date entered until they are checked as ‘done’. In addition to the difference with appointments that a reminder must first be marked as ‘done’, Google also automatically adds things, such as addresses or telephone numbers from the contacts.

A reminder that is created in Google Now, Keep or Inbox now appears not only in the Calendar mobile app, but also in the desktop version in the browser. The feature is not yet available in Gmail, but it is available in the Inbox email client.

The feature will be implemented for all users in the near future, Google writes on its Gmail blog.
