Google has announced that its Gmail app will include support for Exchange accounts. With that, users can now also use Microsoft’s system to access their email via the Google app.

Until now, the Gmail app has supported several email services, including Yahoo, Outlook, and Hotmail. However, Exchange was absent for a long time and it was therefore difficult to manage, for example, business Exchange accounts via the same app.

google announces indicates that support for Exchange will be available in the coming days. At this point, the update has not yet been rolled out to the Play Store, however, iOS users will still only be able to add Gmail accounts.

The use of Exchange was previously possible for users with a Nexus device, who have provided support for the service for some time. Earlier this year, Google decided to offer a feature that allows you to use certain Gmail features with Outlook accounts, including the ability to automatically sort the inbox.

Microsoft and Google are also seeking rapprochement in other areas, as both companies recently decided to withdraw all complaints against each other that they had filed with national regulators.
