Google adds Apple Music integration to Waze
Google announces that Waze users can now listen to music directly from the Waze app via Apple Music. The navigation app now lets Apple Music subscribers play music directly in Waze for easier listening in the car.
Google writes that the Apple Music integration in Waze should make it easier for drivers to control their music without leaving the navigation app. This allows them to “better focus on the road,” according to Google. All Apple Music content can be accessed from Waze.
Apple Music is one of the services that was not yet supported in Waze. The navigation software has long supported other services, such as Spotify. Waze also supports Amazon Music, Audible, Castbox, Deezer, Pandora, TIDAL, TuneIn, and YouTube Music.
Waze is a free navigation app and was released in 2006 by an Israeli start-up of the same name. The service was bought by Google in 2013. The deal was worth $1.1 billion.
