God of War has sold over ten million copies

The Sony-exclusive God of War, according to the company, has sold more than ten million times since the game came out on the PlayStation 4 in April last year. The game did very well in sales right after its release.

During a presentation, in which Sony also demonstrated the difference in loading time between the PS4 Pro and the PS5, Sony Interactive CEO Jim Ryan showed, among other things, data about the sales of God of War. It is not clear from the slide of his presentation what the exact number of copies of God of War delivered will be, but according to him it is in any case above ten million.

With that, the game God of War joins several other Sony titles that also exceed ten million copies delivered, such as The Last of Us Remastered, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End and Horizon: Zero Dawn.

It was already clear that God of War is doing well in terms of sales. In May last year, the game was found to be the fastest-selling PlayStation 4 exclusive to date; 3.1 million copies were sold in the first three days after its release in April. The game received high praise in reviews and recently won five Bafta Game Awards.
