Goat Simulator launches next month on PS3 and PS4
The game Goat Simulator will be released on August 11 on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4. The game, in which players have to inflict as much damage as possible with their goat, was released last year for mobile platforms.
Although it has also been a mobile game since last year, game developer Double Eleven and Sony have only made an announcement for the consoles and not for its handheld PS Vita. The release on PlayStations follows a few months after that for Xbox consoles, which have had a Windows port of the game since April.
There is also a mode in the PS version of the game that is not in previous versions, called GoatVR. It is unclear exactly what it does, but Sony is referring to a ‘VR experience’ without the need for VR glasses. How that works exactly is unknown.
On the PS3, two players can play locally at the same time, on the PS4 that is four players. Goat Simulator is intended as a parody of many simulation games like Truck Simulator, Surgeon Simulator and Farming Simulator. The game is therefore far from serious.
