Gigabyte to release gaming laptops with 144Hz screen with narrow bezels
Gigabyte has put a teaser of the Aero 15 and Aero 15X online, in which the company already mentions some features. For example, the laptops get screens with support for 144Hz display and narrow bezels.
The 144Hz displays of the upcoming Aero 15 models are options in combination with the resolution of 1920×1080 pixels, in addition there will be models with 1080p displays at 60Hz and with 4k displays that can display 100 percent of the AdobeRGB color space. There aren’t many laptops with 144Hz screens yet. Last year, Asus announced its ROG Chimera laptop with such a screen, but that model did not have narrow screen bezels and was much thicker.
Gigabyte’s Aero models are 18mm thick. The GPU is the GeForce GTX 1070, according to an accompanying teaser video. The laptops also have an ambient light sensor to adjust the screen brightness to ambient light, support for Dolby Atmos audio playback and a UHS-ll memory card reader. The keyboard is n-key rollover, so there should be no ghosting.
On April 3, Gigabyte will announce all the details about the Aero 15 and Aero 15X. Then it must also be clear whether the laptops will come to the Benelux, because that is not always the case with the Aero laptops.
