A press release from Gigabyte in which the manufacturer announces its GeForce GTX 1060 G1 Gaming has appeared online early. The video card is equipped with a Windforce 2x cooler with two fans and has more stages than the reference design.

The press release and accompanying image have been put online by VideoCardz. Gigabyte equips its GTX 1060 G1 Gaming with its Windforce 2x cooler, which has two 90mm fans and a heatsink with two heatpipes. The video card is also equipped with RGB LEDs, which can be set in a color of your choice with software.

According to Gigabyte, the GTX 1060 G1 Gaming is suitable for overclocking, but clock speeds of the GPU are not mentioned. The manufacturer does say that the video card has a 6+1 phase facility, instead of the 3+1 phase facility on Nvidia’s reference design.

The official introduction of the Nvidia GTX 1060 will probably follow later on Thursday afternoon. Earlier, a lot of information about the video card leaked out, including benchmarks. In 3DMark Fire Strike, the new midrange video card scores equal to the GTX 980 of the previous generation.
