Gigabyte has announced its X570SI Aorus Pro AX motherboard. This Mini-ITX motherboard gets an X570S chipset with passive cooling. Gigabyte has not yet announced a suggested retail price and release date.

The Gigabyte X570SI Aorus Pro AX motherboard was spotted by tech website VideoCardz. The company has not yet put a product page online. The new variant shows similarities with the current Mini-ITX-sized Aorus X570 motherboard.

The main difference is in the cooling of the chipset and VRMs. The previous model has a fan that cools the chipset. The old model also does not have a heat spreader on the VRMs. With the new motherboard, the X570S chipset is completely passively cooled and there is a heatsink on the VRMs. The ‘WiFi’ suffix from the previous model is replaced by ‘AX’, although the old variant already supported Wi-Fi 6.

VideoCardz writes that the motherboard supports Ryzen 5000, Ryzen 3000 and Ryzen 2000 CPUs. That includes apus with integrated gpu. The motherboard supports overclocked DDR4 memory with a maximum speed of 5100 megatransfers per second, just like the previous model.

The X570SI Aorus Pro features four USB 3.2 Gen 1 type A connectors, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 type A port, and a USB 3.2 type C connector. The motherboard also has two HDMI connectors, one DisplayPort 1.2 connector and an RJ45 connector for 2.5Gbit/s Ethernet. The product has not yet been released, but VideoCardz writes that the motherboard will probably be officially available next week.

There are more manufacturers working on X570S motherboards with passively cooled chipset. ASRock recently introduced some X570S models, while ASUS indicates that the company will release such passively cooled motherboards in the third quarter. MSI is also coming with X570S motherboards and Gigabyte itself introduced five X570S motherboards earlier this month , although the company did not yet show a Mini-ITX variant.
