Ghostwire: Tokyo has been postponed to early 2022
Ghostwire: Tokyo has been delayed until early 2022. Previously, the game’s release date was October 2021. Developer Tango Gameworks says it needs more time to realize its vision. The game is coming first to the PlayStation 5 and PC.
Becomes according to Tango Gameworks worked hard on the game, but the studio says it also focuses on the health of its employees. With this, the developer seems to indicate that he wants to limit overtime on the title.
In June last year, the first gameplay footage of Ghostwire: Tokyo was shown. According to the makers, it is an action-adventure game with ‘ghostly’ elements, but not a horror game. The game is made by Tango Gameworks, a studio that is part of Bethesda and thus now owned by Microsoft.
The game was announced as a limited-time exclusive for the PlayStation 5. However, the game will also be released on PC. Despite the studio now being owned by Microsoft, the game won’t be coming directly to Xbox consoles. Microsoft has previously stated that agreements made about exclusivity will continue to exist. It is unknown how long the exclusivity will last. This is often a year.
