Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut Officially Announced
Game studio Suckerpunch Productions has announced Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut for Playstation 4 and Playstation 5. The game will be released on August 20, according to the developer, and expands a new chapter to the story.
The Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut version includes the original game, all previously released expansions, and a new chapter that will be added to the storyline, according to Sucker Punch Productions. That chapter takes place on the Japanese island of Iki where the main character Jin travels to check if there is actually a Mongolian presence as the rumors suggest. On the island, according to the game studio, Jin will be confronted with old traumas.
According to the Sucker Punch Productions, there are plenty of new environments to explore, new gear to collect, and new enemies to defeat. The expansion for the Playstation 5 includes Japanese lip sync, a 4K option and support for the haptic feedback and the adaptive triggers of the DualSense controller. The loading times of the PS5 version would be shortened and, according to the developer, aims at a frame rate of 60 fps. It is possible to transfer progress from the PS4 version to the PS5 version of the game.
Sucker Punch Productions is also detailing a new patch for Ghost of Tsushima. This makes it possible to create new controller layouts and use a target lock-on during combat.
Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut will be released on August 20. The standalone version costs 70 euros for Playstation 5 version and 60 euros for Playstation 4 version. The expansion for PS4 will cost 20 euros, for PS5 30 euros. Gamers who want to switch from the PS4 version of this expansion to the PS5 version will have to pay 10 euros for this.
