Getaway DLC for Battlefield Hardline Coming in January 2016
Electronic Arts has announced that the Getaway DLC for Battlefield Hardline will be released in January 2016. The pack includes four new maps, a new game mode, four new vehicles and three new weapons.
EA doesn’t give much information about the new content yet, but broadly it is known what the Getaway DLC has to offer. The publisher promises four huge maps with the names: Pacific Highway, Double Cross, Train Dodge and Diversion. There is also a new game mode ‘Capture the Bag’ and three new weapons for the Mechanic class will be available. Finally, there’s a new gadget, a new melee weapon and four new Legendary camos.
An exact release date for the DLC has not yet been announced, but according to EA, Battlefield Hardline Premium members will be able to get started with Getaway in January 2016. Premium members get access to such expansions two weeks earlier than other players. Electronic Arts also announced that there will be a game update for all players of Battlefield Hardline. It will add new weapons, patches and new features. The publisher says it will announce more details about this soon.
Getaway is the third DLC pack for Battlefield Hardline. A total of four expansions for the game have been promised. Initially, EA stated that the first three DLCs would be released in 2015 and that the fourth pack called Betrayal would be released in early 2016. Whether the postponement of Getaway to January also affects the release date of the latest expansion is not yet known.
