Turkish manufacturer General Mobile has announced the GM 9 Pro. The Android One device has a 6-inch OLED screen with an 18:9 ratio and runs on the Snapdragon 660-soc. The primary camera uses the Sony IMX363 sensor with 1.4 micron pixels.

The GM9 Pro is General Mobile’s first phone with an OLED screen. The 6 “screen has a resolution of 2160×1080 pixels and seems to come from Samsung, because the manufacturer speaks of amoled.

The device uses the Snapdragon 660-soc, which Qualcomm announced in May 2017. The smartphone has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of flash storage. The housing is made of glass, has an aluminum edge and a fingerprint scanner on the back. The screen has a layer of Gorilla Glass 5.

Also, the GM9 Pro is the first General Mobile phone with a dual camera on the back. In addition to the primary twelve-megapixel camera, there is an eight-megapixel sensor. The second camera is used only for a depth of field effect.

For the primary camera, General Mobile uses Sony’s IMX363 sensor, of the 1/2.55″ format. That is a relatively large sensor with pixels of 1.4 microns. In front of that sensor is a lens with an aperture of f /1.8 The front camera has an eight-megapixel resolution and also pixels of 1.4 microns in size. It is not known which chip is involved.

The dimensions of the device are 159×75.8×7.9mm and the weight is 175 grams. General Mobile puts a 3800mAh battery in the GM9 Pro. The operating system is Android 8.1, but because it is an Android One device, there will probably be an upgrade to Android 9 Pie. In its own webshop, General Mobile offers the phone for 2899 Turkish lira, which is about 389 euros.
