GeForce GTX 1070 card sales begin
On Friday, sales of the GeForce GTX 1070 kicked off and several Nvidia partners revealed their versions of this card. The price of the Founders Edition is 499 euros and the starting price of the other versions is 419 euros.
Nvidia presented the GTX 1080 and 1070 on May 7, and after the GTX 1080, the GTX 1070 has now also become available. With its lower price than the GTX 1080, the card is attractive to a larger target group and provides a significant performance gain compared to, for example, the GTX 970, at lower consumption.
The GTX 1070 has 8GB gddr5 and 1920 shaders are activated with the gpu, while the GTX 1080 has 2560. The card has a four-phase power supply as standard and the tdp is 150W. The maximum boost speed is 1683MHz and the gddr5 memory is clocked at 2GHz, but manufacturers often provide their own variants with higher clock speeds.
Those manufacturers have already announced versions of the card in recent weeks and more will follow on Friday, usually opting for similar versions to the GTX 1080 line. Asus, MSI, Gainward, Gigabyte, Inno3D, Palit and EVGA, among others, announced the new cards on Friday. The status of availability is unknown.
