Geekbench results show Intel Core i9-10850K CPU with 10 cores and 20 threads
An alleged new Intel Comet Lake CPU has appeared on Geekbench. The alleged i9-10850K has 10 cores and 20 threads according to the Geekbench results. The CPU seems to have slightly lower clock speeds than the comparable i9-10900K.
The processor was noticed by Twitter user tum_apisak. The CPU has appeared several times on Geekbench. The i9-10850K has a clock speed of 3.6GHz and a maximum turbo frequency of 5.17GHz, according to Geekbench results. The current i9-10900K in turn has a clock speed of 3.7GHz and a boost clock of 5.3GHz.
Furthermore, the two CPUs seem to differ little. Both CPUs have 10 cores with hyperthreading. The cache is also the same size, with about 2.5MB of L2 and 20MB of L3 cache. Presumably, the alleged i9-10850K will get the same 125W TDP as the 10900K. The naming of the CPU also suggests that users can overclock the processor.
Intel has not yet officially announced the alleged i9-10850K. It is therefore not yet clear what the CPU would cost. The i9-10900K is in the Pricewatch for €492.97. It is also still unknown if and when the processor will appear on the market.
