Gears 5 launches September 10 and gets Terminator character pack

Gears 5 will be released on September 10, Microsoft announced during the E3 game fair. The fifth installment in the series will receive a multiplayer test on July 17. There will also be an Escape mode for three-player co-op.

Microsoft revealed new Gears 5 visuals and gameplay at E3, in addition to the September 10 release date for the shooter. On July 17, the company will hold a multiplayer tech test for the Arcade game mode. At Gamescom in August, players will be able to get started with Horde mode for the first time.

In addition, Microsoft gave some details about the Escape mode, in which three players have to place a bomb in a ‘nest’ of monsters and get away as quickly as possible. Gamers who pre-order or purchase an Xbox Game Pass will receive a Termintator Dark Fate character pack. Microsoft will announce more details later in the summer.
