Gearbox shows Godfall gameplay trailer
Gearbox has released a gameplay trailer of Godfall. The action game will be released at the end of this year for the PlayStation 5 and also for PC via the Epic Games Store. Godfall was already announced at the end of last year.
After a first cinematic trailer last year, publisher Gearbox is now showing a gameplay trailer of Godfall. The action game is made by developer Counterplay Games. The studio describes the game as a looter-slasher melee action RGP.
The game takes place in the fictional Aperion and players take on the role of the last Valorian knight, a “godlike warrior” who can use so-called Valorplates, which are “legendary” armor sets. There are twelve different armors, each with different properties.
Players must defeat enemies to eventually reach the god Macros, and then challenge him. Fighting involves weapons from five different classes. The trailer features many melee or stabbing weapons such as swords, spears and swords. The game can be played solo, or in co-op with up to three players at a time.
Godfall will be released during the holiday season at the end of this year. An exact date has not yet been announced, but the game will be released in the same period as the PlayStation 5. The game will be released for the Sony console and will be available on PC via the Epic Games Store.
