Garfield Kart: Furious Racing is coming to consoles on November 7th
The new Garfield Kart game is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. Garfield Kart: Furious Racing can be played split-screen with four players and eight players can race against each other online. The PC version will be released on November 5.
The race tracks in the game are based on environments from the Garfield comic books. Not only the fat lazy cat, but also other characters from the series come back in the game. There is a choice of eight characters, each with their own kart and a different driving style.
According to the makers, the game is humorous and players can customize the karts with all kinds of accessories. During the races, players can pick up bonus items to defend themselves or to attack other players. The game has a Grand Prix mode, Single Race and Time Trial. With the Switch version, it is possible to wirelessly connect up to eight consoles together for local multiplayer.
The first Garfield Kart game was released in 2013. That game came out for PC and Nintendo 3DS, and is made by Artefact. That developer also makes the new game. Garfield Kart: Furious Racing is out on Steam with a release date of November 5, with an as yet undisclosed price. In a press release publisher Mindscape announces that the console versions will be released on November 7 for 35 euros.
