A video has been published on Facebook and Reddit showing gameplay footage of the upcoming Assassin’s Creed mobile game. Ubisoft itself has not yet shown any gameplay footage of the game, which is called Codename Jade.

The original Facebook upload of the footage by Tiger White is no longer available, but the video is Saturday posted on Reddit by the user dattuu. The video, which lasts three minutes in total, begins with the player running across the Great Wall of China in the midst of a battle. The user interface and design are reminiscent of the newer Assassin’s Creed games, especially Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. The player then fights a level 40 enemy.

After the battle, the player is seen using a zipline to get off the wall. The gameplay then transitions into an intermediate scene without voice acting, but with sound effects that correspond to the actions in the scene. It is possible that additional voice acting will be added to the game later, as the images indicate that this is an early build of the game.

In September, Ubisoft announced four Assassin’s Creed games. The first of these is Mirage, set in Baghdad in the ninth century. The game should be released in 2023 for Windows, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and Amazon Luna.

The three other games don’t have final names yet, but are called Codename Red, Codename Jade and Codename Hexe. Red will be a full-fledged Assassin’s Creed game set in feudal Japan and Jade is a mobile game with China as the setting. Nothing is known about Hexe in terms of content, other than that it seems to have a horror-like setting.
