GAME director Sunset Overdrive joins Microsoft Studio The Initiative

Drew Murray, a former Insomniac designer, joins the Microsoft Initiative. It is not yet known what project he will be working on and what his function is. At the moment, his LinkedIn page has not yet been updated.

Murray reports via Twitter that he will soon start at Microsoft’s Xbox studio. He worked at Insomniac on various projects from June 2005 through October 2015. Murray was the game director of Sunset Overdrive, whose PC version comes out this week . In the years before he has been designer at the Resistance series and Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction.

Since the founding of The Initiative in June are several big names from the game industry. going to work at the studio, such as GTA V developer Tom Shepard and Red Dead Redemption designer Christian Cantamessa. Former Crystal Dynamics CEO Darrell Gallagher is the head of The Initiative.
