Gadget with e-ink screen for displaying widgets has been released

The Displio, a small device equipped with an e-ink screen, is now available. Users can display widgets of their choice on the gadget. The device came on the market after a successful crowdfunding campaign.

Displio was conceived by Latvian developers and in early 2015 they put their idea on Kickstarter. That yielded the creators 157,814 dollars. The device is 6.3 by 8.2 by 2.8 centimeters in size and equipped with a 2.7 “e-ink screen. The box works with WiFi and communicates with a smartphone app for Android and iOS. install widgets on the gadget, for example, users can keep an eye on the weather, the stock market or social media.If a widget is set up, the box will continue to work independently.

It is also possible to display a part of any website on the Displio. That works with WebClip, a browser extension or smartphone app, which allows the users to crop the desired part of the page to display. Now that the crowdfunding project has been completed and successfully completed, the Displio can be ordered for everyone. The smart box costs 130 euros.
