G.Skill introduces mechanical keyboard with RGB lighting
G.Skill has introduced a new keyboard. The Ripjaws KM570 comes in variants with red, blue or brown Cherry MX switches. The LED lighting can display the full 8-bit color spectrum.
The keyboard supports full n-key rollover, eliminating ghosting. The RGB lighting can be controlled with the help of software. The software also lets the user customize macros.
There are no additional macro keys on the keyboard. With the exception of the volume keys, all additional functions on the keyboard are accessible through the use of an additional fn key. Judging by the pictures, the keys seem primarily intended for controlling a media player and opening commonly used software, such as an e-mail program or Internet browser.
G.Skill indicates that the variants with red and brown switches will be available on the American website Newegg from early December. The keyboard will probably be available in the Benelux from then on. The variant with the blue switches will be available from January 2017. Nothing is known about prices yet.
