Full specifications of RX 5600XT appear on ASRock website
The specifications of the RX 5600XT GPU from AMD have appeared online. There are some details about the video card on the website of manufacturer ASRock, which has not yet been officially announced. The GPU contains as many cores as the RX 5700, but has less memory.
ASRock’s website listed the specifications of a Radeon RX 5600XT Challenger D, although the manufacturer has since taken the page offline. According to the website, the video card is aimed at 1080p gaming. This video card has a ‘second-generation 7nm GPU’ with 36 compute units and 2304 stream processors. This is the same as the RX 5700, although the RX 5600XT does have lower clock speeds and less memory.
The RX 5600XT mentioned on the ASRock website has 6GB gddr6 memory and a base clock of 1235MHz, while the RX 5700 has a base clock of 1465MHz and contains 8GB of memory. The game clock of the RX 5600XT is 1460MHz with a turbo frequency of 1620MHz. With the RX 5700, these clock speeds are respectively 1625MHz and 1725MHz.
The memory speed of the RX 5600XT is 12Gbit/s, with a 192-bit memory interface. This translates to a memory bandwidth of 288GB/s. In comparison, the RX 5700 has a memory speed of 14Gbit/s with a 256-bit interface, which equates to a memory bandwidth of 448GB/s.
Furthermore, the Challenger D from ASRock has a single HDMI 2.0b connector and three DisplayPort 1.4 connections. There are no pictures of the video card on the website yet, but ASRock mentions the presence of two fans and a metal backplate, just like previous Challenger models. According to the manufacturer, the gpu also needs a single 8-pin connection for power.
There have been rumors about the RX 5600XT for some time, although the GPU has not yet been officially announced. AMD will probably introduce the video card during CES in January. There is no mention of a suggested retail price or release date yet.
