Fujifilm X-T2 System Camera Product Photos Appear Online

The Japanese digicam-info website has published product photos of the Fujifilm X-T2. The specs have also been leaked. The system camera, which will have a 24.3-megapixel sensor, will probably be officially announced on July 7.

The new photos show the Fujifilm X-T2 from all sides. The device looks a lot like the X-T1, which came on the market in 2014. As far as specifications are concerned, the camera gets a major update: the 16-megapixel sensor makes way for a 24.3-megapixel copy. The aps-c sensor format remains unchanged, as does the lens mount.

The AF system is awarded 325 points and combines phase detection with contrast detection. The resolution of the electronic viewfinder remains at 2.36 million pixels the same as that of the evf of the X-T1. However, the refresh rate goes up to 100fps. As expected, according to the leaked information, the camera will have a 4k movie function. The frame rate in that resolution is a maximum of 30 fps, while that is 60 fps for full-HD video. The bit rate is a maximum of 100Mbit/s when filming.

It is not yet known what the Fujifilm X-T2 will cost and when the device will be released on the market. Presumably, that information will be announced on Thursday; then the official introduction of the camera is expected.
