Fujifilm promises to improve autofocus X-T1 with firmware update
Fujifilm is going to release a new firmware version for its X-T1 high-end system camera that should improve the autofocus system. In addition, firmware 4.0 will make a number of new modes available on the camera.
According to Fujifilm, the new firmware improves the accuracy of the autofocus system for the X-T1 and the more expensive Graphite Silver Edition, especially when shooting low-light or moving subjects. In addition, firmware 4.0 offers an eye-detection autofocus mode, an auto-macro mode, and the ability to manually adjust exposure compensation for users who use manual settings when shooting stills.
The camera manufacturer also promises to improve the video mode. For example, the autofocus system should also work more smoothly when making video images, and by making adjustments to the video algorithm, the HD images should produce a ‘more natural’ image.
The new 4.0 firmware is not yet available immediately; according to Engadget, Fujifilm plans to release it next month.
