Fujifilm Gives X-T200 System Camera A Full Swivel And Tilt LCD
Fujifilm comes with the successor to the X-T100. The X-T200 again has a 24.2-megapixel sensor and now has a fully rotating and tilting LCD. The system camera again does not have an X-Trans sensor, but a cmos with a regular Bayer design.
The 24.2-megapixel sensor in the Fujifilm X-T200 is still of the aps-c format. The screen on the back is a bit larger at 3.5″ than on the X-T100 and now this screen is fully rotatable and tiltable via a hinge, as is also the case with the X-A7. completely next to the camera, with the screen pointing forward. That is a change that will particularly appeal to videographers. The screen now also has a higher resolution of 2.76 million pixels. In terms of design, the grip has also been adjusted this one is a bit deeper now.
In the field of video, innovations have also been made. There is no longer a crop of the sensor applied to make 4k images and there is no longer a limit of fifteen frames per second as with the X-T100; at a 4k resolution, that is now thirty frames per second. There is a fifteen minute limit when recording footage in 4k, which is probably related to avoiding overheating. In 1080p, images can be recorded up to 120fps. Fujifilm says it has added a “gyro sensor” to improve stabilization when shooting video.
Where the X-T100 has a shooting speed of 6 fps while retaining autofocus, that has been increased to 8 fps with the X-T200. However, the buffer is still quite small; according to DPReview, a delay is already beginning to occur after shooting 16 photos. The sensitivity has been expanded by one stop and is now 200 to 25,600 iso. The new camera again features phase-detection autofocus, and just like the X-A7, the X-T200 has 431 points to use in single autofocus mode, while the X-T100 has 91. Algorithms are also applied to the autofocus for the detection of eyes and faces.
The battery should last long enough to take 270 photos, the camera measures 121 x 84 x 55mm and weighs 370g; this makes it lighter than its predecessor. The X-T200 will be available from late February, with a kit option featuring a 15-45mm f/3.5-5.6 lens. That bundle has a suggested retail price of 849 euros; separately the X-T200 probably costs 749 euros. The kit can be expanded with the new Fujinon 35mm f/2.0 lens for 199 euros; this product will also be available from the end of February.
