Planet Coaster is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Summer 2020. The console version of the simulation game will offer the same “depth, strategy and customization” as the PC version, according to the developer. An exact release date has not yet been announced.

The amusement park simulation game came out on PC in 2016, and will be coming to PS4 and Xbox One next year. The company unveiled the console edition with a new trailer during Microsoft’s X019 event. Porting simulation games to consoles is difficult, given the often detailed controls and extensive interfaces. According to the developer, the port also retains the “depth, strategies and customization” from the PC version of the game.

Developer Frontier know that the console version of Planet Coaster will benefit from all the improvements and changes that the PC version has undergone. It is unclear whether all expansion packs are bundled with the console version. It is expected that the game will at least contain all the free DLC.

Planet Coaster is a simulation game in which players build an amusement park. Users can also design their own roller coasters. This makes the game somewhat comparable to the Rollercoaster Tycoon games, of which Frontier developed part 3. Recently, the studio also released Planet Zoo, which is not yet a console version.
