Free password manager Firefox Lockbox is now also available for Android
Mozilla has announced that its password manager Firefox Lockbox is now also available for Android devices. Previously, only iOS device users could install the free app.
Firefox Lockbox is an app that stores all user’s Firefox passwords. The application can also be set as the default app for autofilling all passwords on the web, using a browser of your choice. The passwords are secured with 256-bit encryption, while the app itself is opened with a PIN or fingerprint.
Firefox Lockbox is otherwise a fairly simple password manager with all the basic functionality. The user can create new passwords, check if passwords have fallen prey to hackers in the past and also store other sensitive information in the app. The passwords are automatically synchronized across all of the user’s devices if desired.
