Fractal Design introduces mini-ITX case Terra with wooden accent
Fractal Design announces the Terra case. This mini-ITX case gets an aluminum frame with a wooden accent on the front. The Terra is available immediately. Fractal only shares a US MSRP of $180.
The Fractal Design Terra gets a rectangular design with a volume of 10.4 liters and dimensions of 343x153x218mm. The housing is made of aluminum and has ventilation holes on the sides and top. There is a small panel of solid walnut on the front. It also has a USB-A connection, a USB-C port and a cutout for the on/off button.
The housing is further divided into two areas: one for the motherboard and one for the video card. A PCIe 4.0 riser is included to connect the GPU. The housing supports video cards with a maximum length of 322mm.
Inside the case is a sliding motherboard plate. This allows users to continuously adjust the space ratio between the two rooms. In a ‘max-GPU’ configuration, video cards up to 145mm thick are supported, but the maximum height of the CPU cooler is limited to 48mm. It is also possible to limit GPU support to video cards that are 131mm thick. This allows CPU coolers up to 77mm high to be installed.
Furthermore, the Terra can accommodate a maximum of two 2.5″ drives for storage. 3.5″ HDDs are not supported. Fractal supplies the Terra in three different colors: black, silver, and green. The case costs $180 in the US. Converted and including VAT, this amounts to approximately 204 euros.
