‘Foxconn expects to be back at full capacity by the end of December’
Foxconn could return to full capacity at its factory in Zhengzou, China, in late December or January. The factory has not been fully available recently due to lockdowns due to corona.
Foxconn did not say exactly how much factory capacity is unavailable, but the peak of that would have been, writes Reuters. This could possibly be 30 percent of the capacity. The news agency has heard from a source within the group that the factory site would be operating at full capacity again at the end of December or in January.
The branch not only has to deal with strict lockdowns, but also with protests among employees against these strict measures. As a result, many of the devices that should have been made in the factory were not produced. The best known of these is the iPhone 14 Pro. Apple already warned of long delivery times for the phone.
