Fossil comes with Wear OS smartwatch with Snapdragon 3100-soc

Fossil has announced a smartwatch with the new Wear 3100-soc from Qualcomm’s Snapdragon series on board. The software is based on Google’s Wear OS, and the watch is immediately available in the United States, but not yet in Europe.

It concerns the Fossil Sport, which, as the name suggests, is mainly aimed at measuring sports performance. There are two different sizes, with 41mm and 43mm, but both feature the Snapdragon Wear 3100-soc. This new soc is mainly intended for smartwatches and should be more economical than previous processors. The Sport watches are on the Fossil website and are available there in six different colors.

In addition to the new soc from Qualcomm, the smartwatch has NFC, a heart rate sensor, GPS and WiFi, while the battery with a capacity of 350mAh should last more than a day. The software is based on Wear OS, and the recently released version of Spotify for Google’s mobile operating system is included.

The Fossil Sport is immediately available and costs in the United States $ 255, which is converted to 225 euros. Delivery to Europe is not yet possible, and Fossil has not yet announced when this will be possible.
