Forza Horizon 5 is set in Mexico and will be released on November 9
Microsoft has announced Forza Horizon 5, shown gameplay and announced a release date. The racing game will be released on November 9 for Xbox consoles and Windows 10 and via Xbox cloud gaming. The game is part of the Game Pass subscription.
Employees of Playgroud Games provide information about the game in a video. Forza Horizon 5 is getting a new Expedition mode, in which players must complete missions. The game world is based on Mexico with diverse environments, from cactus-filled deserts to bright green jungles. Also, the developer has included murals of existing Mexican artists in the game.
Compared to Forza Horizon 4, the environments are more detailed. The developer has taken pictures of environments and cities and used them in the game. HDR recordings of the sky have also been made, which are used in the game and should ensure a realistic representation.
In Forza Vista mode, the game uses ray tracing. Whether that is also activated during racing is not yet clear. Playground Games shows, among other things, the AMG Project One, of which a special Forza Edition is included in the game.
Forza Horizon 5 is out on November 9 and is coming to current and previous generation Xbox consoles. The game will also come to Windows 10. It is not yet known whether the game will also come to Steam. Microsoft released Forza Horizon 4 on Valve’s platform, but not immediately upon release.
