Microsoft has announced the first expansion of Forza Horizon 5. The Hot Wheels expansion adds Hot Wheels-like tracks, including loops. There are also cars from the toy brand in the DLC. Horizon 5 isn’t the first Horizon game to receive Hot Wheels DLC.

The Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels Expansion adds a new game world to the game: Horizon Hot Wheels Park. Set in the skies above Mexico, this map is full of Hot Wheels tracks. These orange bands go upside down several times and can cross themselves. For example, drivers can run into each other on the track and collide.

These tracks go through and along the landscape of Mexico, driving through natural rock bridges, for example, or past volcanoes. Microsoft says the expansion adds more than 100 miles of track in four different biomes, including tundra, a forest, and a canyon. The expansion also adds over eighty new track elements that gamers can use to create their own Hot Wheels tracks.

In addition to extra tracks, the expansion adds ten cars to the game that can also be used outside the expansion. These are Hot Wheels cars like the Bone Shaker and the Deora II, but ‘real’ cars like the Hennessey Venom F5 and the Mosler MT900 GT3 are also included in the DLC.

The Hot Wheels DLC costs twenty euros and can be played from July 19. The DLC is included in the Premium bundle, which will also include the second unannounced expansion. Forza Horizon 3 previously received a Hot Wheels expansion. Forza Horizon 5 now has more than 20 million players, according to Microsoft.
