Forza Horizon 5 gets support for DLSS 2 and AMD FSR 2
Forza Horizon 5 will receive support for Nvidia DLSS 2 and AMD FSR 2. These upscaling features will be made available on November 8. DirectX Raytracing on PC also comes with two new presets: ultra and extreme.
On the Forza Motorsport support page can read that the ray tracing settings add ultra and extreme car reflections for Free Roam, Races and Photo Mode game modes. At the medium and high settings, ray tracing is only available in Forzavista.
The new update also adds support for DLSS 2 and FSR 2. DLSS is only available to users with an Nvidia RTX video card. AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution works with graphics cards from AMD, Nvidia and Intel. Both are upscaling techniques for games, in which frames are rendered at a lower resolution and then scaled up to a higher resolution.
DLSS 3 is not yet supported in Forza Horizon 5. Last month, Nvidia announced which games will be the first to receive DLSS 3 support. The PC port of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered, Microsoft Flight Simulator and A Plague Tale: Requiem, among others, already have support. At a later date, DLSS 3 is also expected for games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Hitman 3 and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.
