Forza Horizon 4 is getting DLC with James Bond cars
Have you always wanted to race around in secret agent James Bond’s cars? The good news: you’ll soon be able to do that in Forza Horizon 4. The bad news: you’ll need to purchase an optional DLC pack for it.
Microsoft announces that Forza Horizon 4 has gone gold. That means the game is ready for release and basically no more changes will be made before the game comes out on October 2nd. You can immediately spend more money on the day the game comes out, because the Best of Bond Car Pack will appear at the same time as the game.
The DLC contains ten cars that 007 has driven in his long-running career. For example, it concerns a 1964 Aston Martin DB5, which is inspired by the Bond films Goldfinger, Thunderball and GoldenEye, among others. Aston Martin is James Bond’s main supplier and accounts for five of the ten cars in the DLC package.
However, other brands are also represented. You can drive around in the Lotus Esprit S1 from 1977, known from the movie The Spy Who Loved Me. The Citroën 2CV6 from 1981 and the film For Your Eyes Only are also present, as are the BMW Z8 from The World is Not Enough and the Jaguar C-X75 from Spectre.
The cars of 007 are not regular models and Forza Horizon 4 are versions with various adjustments. Don’t expect to have fun with rocket launchers at opponents, but it’s possible to check out gadgets like rotating license plates and extendable bumpers in Forzavista mode. The Lotus Esprit S1 gets an optional body kit, inspired by the ‘Wet Nellie’ submarine from The Spy Who Loved Me.
The paid download package gives players other Bond goodies in addition to ten cars, including two Bond outfits and six Quick Chat phrases. The cost of the DLC has not yet been announced. Players who purchase the Ultimate Edition of Forza Horizon 4 will receive the pack without paying.
