Fortnite requires from season 10 GPU with at least DirectX 11 support
The minimum system requirements for Fortnite will change from season ten. From then on, users will need at least DirectX 11. Developer Epic says that players with older cards will no longer be able to play.
From the new season, players must have a graphics card that supports at least DirectX 11, developer Epic writes on its website. “Until now, it had always been a system requirement to support DirectX 11, but we did offer support for players with an older video card,” the company wrote. “However, once season ten starts, Fortnite will no longer be compatible with those older cards.” According to Epic, that was done so that the company can develop the game better.
Season nine of the popular battle royale game is now in sight since new challenges were introduced last week, but it is not yet clear when exactly season ten will start. The ninth season ends on August 1, according to the creator.
